Since Bascom’s was opened in 2001, it has been generously rewarded every year with kudos from critics and multiple Best of the Bay Awards that celebrate the fine dining and traditional steakhouse fare that is always served with graciousness and style.

The menu is a wonderful mix of the expected array of steaks, chops, and seafood. Modern additions such as fine wagyu beef and delicate tuna complete a menu that is sensitive to serving organic, hormone-free and environmentally conscientious meats and locally grown produce.

What a great year it has been for Bascom’s in 2019, thanks to our loyal patrons, great staff, new diners and our talented chef. The exciting new menu has been a hit, offering chophouse favorites with international dishes and innovative food trends. Word of this cuisine has spread like wildfire and our business has been growing with new guests discovering and loving our selections. This year, we won the vote in Tampa Bay Times “Best Of The Best” competition in 3 categories, placing above world famous Bern’s and Charley’s Steakhouse.

This combination gave us the “BEST of the BEST”, an award that is coveted in our dining industry.

Our next award was from the very prestigious Wine Spectator Magazine, the unofficial bible of wine lovers. They give yearly awards that recognize restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. This year 2,447 restaurants in the world achieved the Award of Excellence.

 

Our “Best of Award of Excellence”, is granted to only 1,244 global restaurants in 2019, honors wine programs that take their commitment a step further; it recognizes lists that display excellent breadth across multiple regions and/or significant vertical depth of top wines, along with superior presentation. We were so honored to receive The Best of Award of Excellence this year. It has been a work of love, curating our wine collection in order to offer a diverse but unique list of offerings that complement our food and give great value and taste to our patrons.
